Good Drop Wine Shoppe

The Cheers of Bend

Right in the heart of downtown and with an “interior” that is outdoors all year round, it’s easy to see how The Good Drop Wine Shoppe is “the Cheers of Bend.” Echoing proprietor Sarah Worley’s outgoing personality, long community tables occupy the patio along the sidewalk just outside the shop, encouraging people to not only mingle with other patrons, but also with people passing by. Whether you go in a group or by yourself, you’re likely to meet lots of new people at the Good Drop. And what about in the winter, you ask? This is Bend, after all. Well, don’t fret! Igloos, blankets and fire pits keep everyone cozy here.

Sarah opened the doors to the Good Drop almost ten years ago after spending a year living in the Cote d’Azur of France, the same place she was first introduced to wine many years prior. In fact, she fell into the wine world like many of us in the biz—by accident! While traveling around Europe after college, she found herself in the south of France and for just a few centimes could fill her thermos full of … what was this pure heavenly liquid? What turned out to be a simple, local Rhone blend was the first step of her long journey in wine.

The French & Italian Wines

Reflecting Sarah’s diverse past wine experiences, you’ll find a wide selection of bottles inside the shop, including those from France (and no shortage of great Champagne!), Italy, Oregon, Washington, California, and finally some rare and exotic “stickies,” like White Port, Barolo Chinato, Tokaji and Sauternes. You can buy bottles to take away or to enjoy there.

Domestic Wines & Top Shelf Gems

There are usually about 12 wines by the glass—all unique and fun—that change up every few days, though you can always count on one sparkling wine and one Champagne by the glass, regardless.

Sample List of Wines BTG

Be sure to check out the Champagne Campaign every Friday or Saturday during November and December when Champagne houses come in to host tastings. You’ll be beyond prepared by New Year’s Eve!

That isn’t the only time the Good Drop hosts winemakers, however. Check out the Good Drop calendar for a full list of events coming up and follow them on Instagram so you make sure not to miss a thing!

For food options, the Good Drop offers snacks, lets you bring your own edibles or order from any of the downtown restaurants. (900 Wall is just across the street!)

At The Good Drop, there is a place and a glass for everyone. Whether you’re after a $14 bottle or $400 bottle, a simple glass or a Coravin pour, it’s a place to just enjoy what you’re drinking, as well as the company!
