Portello

Your local Euro bistro Cafe

Portello, a landmark in the Bend Wine Bar scene, opened its doors in 2006. It was one of the only places for many years that sold an international selection of wines in Bend. Owner since 2018, Courtney Marlatt, told me most of the surrounding buildings were not there when they opened their doors. Now they are clearly at the epicenter of the hustle and bustle of the Northwest Crossing district.

Modeled after a friendly European bistro café, this neighborhood wine bar is a place to relax and connect. Inside the warm hues, velvet seating and reclaimed brick walls from a turn of the century Portland building juxtaposed with lots of big, bright windows serve to create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. Choose from a mix of low and high tables, sofas, big relaxing chairs, as well as bar and of course, patio seating.

Summer Happy Hour (Tue – Fri 4-6pm) bustles with patio patrons as well as those seeking the cooler, cozier indoor options. There is a place for everyone!

It wouldn’t be a bistro without food! Portello’s menu is designed to highlight their diverse selection of wines. It isn’t fussy or pretentious—just straightforward—diverse with a selection of antipasti, cheese, bruschetta, salads, panini and seasonal dishes.
