During my 15 years as a wine professional, I have developed an extensive background in content and online marketing, copywriting, journalism and market research. As a self-starter with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and professional growth, I spent many years traveling as a wine journalist while also working as a project manager in market research. In the recent years I have slowed the travel down a bit and am focusing on broadening my marketing services.
Today in addition to acting as a Lead wine expert on the Wine.com Recommendations Team, I am also authoring all of the wine Region and grape Variety “learn-about” entries on the site. There are about 800; you can learn everything there! 😉

I hold the Diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (DWSET) and the sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers. I also have a MSc in Biostatistics from McGill University and a BA in Biology from UC Santa Cruz.
Though I am a Bay Area native, I have lived all over—Alba, Italy; Montreal, Canada; Burlington, Vermont; Tahoe City, California and Austin, Texas. I currently reside in the South Bay.
