The best $25 bottle I’ve had in a long time

Of course it has to be Nebbiolo.

It’s been a month since I’ve added anything, but not because I have nothing to write about. I just cannot seem to make or find the time.

So. I will add as a side note, until I can compose something interesting, that my recent acquisition,

Elio Grasso Gavarini 2007. Langhe Nebbiolo. ★ ★ ☆…

is awesome.

It’s a “now” Nebbiolo, meaning: wait a year to open, a day to drink, or decant seven times two hours ahead of time.

Floral; full of dried berries and chalky tannins.  Decanted three times and still packed a punch. Two days later, still very Nebbiolo and lovely. The color proves to be quite magenta, however. Peculiar. But acceptable.  Need to get another and wait a few months.
