Of course it has to be Nebbiolo.
It’s been a month since I’ve added anything, but not because I have nothing to write about. I just cannot seem to make or find the time.
So. I will add as a side note, until I can compose something interesting, that my recent acquisition,
Elio Grasso Gavarini 2007. Langhe Nebbiolo. ★ ★ ☆…
is awesome.
It’s a “now” Nebbiolo, meaning: wait a year to open, a day to drink, or decant seven times two hours ahead of time.
Floral; full of dried berries and chalky tannins. Decanted three times and still packed a punch. Two days later, still very Nebbiolo and lovely. The color proves to be quite magenta, however. Peculiar. But acceptable. Need to get another and wait a few months.
